Develop Your Idea
For my website, I want to create a website to sell luxury clothing items. This is a fairly straightforward concept. I want to dive more into this so that I can understand how a luxury fashion company navigates ecommerce spaces.
Discovery and Research
My main source of inspiration are the iconic luxury fashion brands like Dior, Givenchy, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and more. Something I noticed that was super interesting is how most luxury companies have layouts that are videos or text that encompass the entire page, with a small button or text overlay.
Target Audience
My main audience consists of luxury customers, internal employees, and external competitors. For each, there is a different motivation for using the site:
1. Customers who want to see product first, and have access to the newest collections
2. Internal employees who want to see how the page is looking, and if it is helping to meet sales goals, design targets, and other business objectives.
3. External competitors who want to use the site to understand who is selling what, and how they compare to other businesses.
