Designing for the Web

  1. Develop Your Idea:

My goal for this website is to have an easy to navigate, unique, and fun website that represents my design style and body of work. I want it to have a cluttered look, but still be organized enough for users to be able to navigate the page with ease.

  2. Discovery and Research:

    Nishtha Rikhi Portfolio

This portfolio website aims to sell a designer who added a personal/creative touch to her portfolio. This acts as a direct competitor to my website.

The main references I looked at are product ads off of Pinterest. I really want my website to mirror a product ad, but play on me, as the designer, being the product. These references are messy, unorganized and personal, but I hopw to organize them on my website while maintaining the personal "messiness."

  4. Target Audience:

The audience for my website would be hiring managers, professors, other designers/product designers, and potentially those interested in my music.

  5. Introductory Framing and Concluding Call to Action

I want my website to be personal and fun, but represent product design boldly. Usually, product design sites are quite minimal and features 3D work, however, I wanted to start with a shopping basket that has products inside of it. I want the products to be clickable and have them lead to different sections in my website.
