The target audience for Sean’s website would be potential employers. It is geared toward that, especially since he has a hire me button that links to his email rather than a traditional contact or email button.
Voice
The voice of Sean’s website is light and straightforward. Everything is very simple and his content is all centered throughout the site which makes it feel less spread out, more consolidated, and therefore more direct, which is something that employers would probably want.
Tone
The tone of Sean’s website is light, simple, and informative. His use of white space on his website makes the site pleasing to look at because the viewer will focus on his animated avatars, small gifs, and his short explanations of what he can do. It is simple without looking plain or boring.
On his work page, he has images of work that he has done for some companies. With each one, he took a color that was in the image and used it as a banner background behind it. It makes for a seamless and visually pleasing design that looks professional and lively without looking too agressively colorful.

The visual design is minimal, bright, and friendly. It keeps all focus on his minimal text and his use of color brings life to his website.
Personas
Three people that might use this website would be a person who is looking at Sean’s website for inspiration, a potential employer looking for someone to hire, or current coworkers or individuals looking to find what projects Sean is currently working on.
Competition
Sean Halpin’s competition is other web designers’ websites. One designer that I looked at is Lauren Nicole Smith. She, like Sean, had a very simple design that had pleasant colors. I liked Sean's website better, although, because he had a few more things to look at on his website rather than it being simply a hub of links. One thing I did like is that she has an interactive game on her website that you can play if you click on the red ping pong paddle on the bottom right corner.
