I'm a parody of Ted Joan's outographs.
Sarah saw Joan's work at the Tate's 'Surrealism Beyond Borders' exhibition and thought I would be the perfect sign for her favorite bookstores in Paris since they are all dedicated to art books and target a niche audience. She knew she wanted to create street art because she wanted to work with/from existing sign systems in Paris (the infamous John Hamon posters and space invaders), but mostly because it's really important to her that books are accessible. She hopes this was a fun, light-hearted journey, and she thanks Min Hee Lee and the students of Parsons School of Design for their input.
