Final Worksheet

develop that idea !

With this website I want to create a promotional site for Panic at the Disco's live event in Denver of 2006. I want my website to have the qualities of one made in the early 00s and portray the circus aesthetic of the event!

discovery + research

Walking into this project I knew that I wanted my website to embody the interactivity of early internet websites. That lead me to look for a lot of websites from around 2005-2008 and in doing so i went through the Internet Archive and the Web Design Museum website. The websites that I chose to feature have a lot of kinetic energy throughout them and distinctive/flashy styles.

This is Katy Perry's website from 2006 and I chose this one because I like the interactivity of it all. The hovering over the objects and seeing the glow behind it; how the selected objects get a little bigger when hovered over; and the fun layout of it all--things being strewn about.

On this website I was really drawn to how the layout isn't so linear and set on a curve. I also like how interactive the hovering is, as things pop up when certain elements are highlighted.

The promotional website for Kung Fu Panda really caught my attention with the way the mouse sort of controls the background--i like the interactivity. This website all in all has a lot of kinetic energy and is really visually engaging.

who's interested?

My website will probably attract people that like Panic at the Disco!, those interested in early internet websites and interactive sites, and maybe emos.
