A Note On The Time

It is 5:38 am here in Taiwan. I am writing the reading response, and I still have jet lag since I came to Taiwan for almost a month. What causes the jet lag is because the online classes are still happening, which is in the eastern time zone. So it seems impossible for me to adapt Taiwan's time zone. I woke up at two to three o clock in the afternoon here, waiting and preparing before the "night" class start. I feel so unproductive in my home since there are so many distractions and I am not alone in my apartment. Don't get me wrong, I feel good to be home, but staying with your family is just too relaxed to work and focus on the school assignment. I feel like when I was in New York, I only focus on my school life. After I came back to my apartment in New York, I just do my homework, eat and sleep. There is almost no time to hang out with my friends. Now that I don't go to school anymore, I don't have to calculate the time about when I should wake up early to do my makeup, change my clothes, brush my teeth, eat breakfast, and taking a bus before I go to school. Now, I can just stay at home, watch news, play with my phone, eat, and wait before my classes start at night. Everything looks so simple now. It is good for a short amount of time, but I am not sure if it is good for long term. The pandemic made a huge difference in people's lifestyles, and people should do what they can do within a reasonable extent. The time certainly made a huge difference in people's life. I hope the time can let the pandemic finish sooner so that people can be safe, healthy, and be more productive.
