Personas
1. Myself: I am attracted to this website because I am interested in finding inspiration for my design work. I find the website appealing and attractive to the eye. Although I am not looking to hire this designer or purchase anything from him, if I take inspiration from his work, I may credit him which will spread his work to more eyes.

2. Corporate Employers: A New York Times section editor, Adam Mark, would come to this site which would be attached to Will’s resume. Adam would view it as his portfolio to look at his design work and read his writing. If he is attracted to the site and my work, he may be inclined to hire Will onto his team as a freelance or full-time writer.

3. Nonprofit Organizations: A nonprofit organization, let’s say PETA, would look to Will’s site to see that he is able to visualize data points and condense writing into visuals. They may be interested in hiring him to make them a visual element to spread information about their work.

Competition
Something that this website has that many others don’t is a clear voice. This designer obviously has a design style that he leans toward and he centered the design of the website around that. It is very easy to understand the designer’s brand and interests based on just looking at the website. In a world of many templates and repeated design styles, Will’s website stands out with it’s funkiness and personal style.
