Develop your Idea
I want to make a portfolio & shopping website for my fashion friend's works. Julie Wu, a current fashion student studying at Parsons, has fabulous and unique pieces and I want to elborate a space to show her work. The website will incorporate both portfolio style with shop elements. She's outgoing, adventurous, and creative designer who demonstrates wide range of skills on fashion, product, and 3D modeling. I want this website to demonstrates her amazing talents.
Discovery and Research
For my research, I was able to interview my friend, as well as my client, in person. I got to know about her style and story a little bit more, which helps me to establish the voice of the website. It's important to know what the designer wants to communicate through her work. After the interview, I went on researching more designer website that shows a variety of aspect and style. I have narrow down a few that can support my discovery process.
Target your Audience
My taget audience are possible employers, interviewers and other fellow designer as well. I want this to be a functional website for my client but also a website that demonstrates my basic coding skills. I want this website to be organized, easy to navigate, and optimistic. I want my audience to navigate through the pages smoothly just like viewing the artwork in a gallery/shop.
