FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

FIT is focused on the technical aspects of building and designing a collection. For students interested in fashion, this is particularly helpful because without the means and understanding of how to go through the whole process of design to product, pursuing a career and obtaining a job would be much harder. I've personally felt extremely prepared and through my internship experiences have felt that FIT has really provided me a top-notch education.

PRATT INSTITUTE

Pratt’s location in NYC on its own campus is a huge help for getting internship experience year-round in the fashion industry. However, studio space is far too limited for the average class size, and the workload is very heavy. Your primary socializing will be in studio as you work. Getting through the program, while difficult, will prepare you for the pace and intensity of the industry.

THOMAS JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY

"The fashion program is great; it is well-structured for those who are just starting design and also helps those who have some experience. It is set up so that those who put in the effort will succeed, and shows those that don't just what they are in for. The professors are always willing to help and will go out of their way to help students prepare themselves for life after graduation, as well as get to know students so as to be a support system when students need it. I have felt like I can really depend on my professors and have gotten internships through them. The fashion program at this school is difficult, but it pushes students to do more and be more."
