I have three options in mind for the final website. The three options were a streaming service ,
selling video games and selling boba specifically at a store in New York City. Eventually I decided on selling
boba also known as bubble tea. There are a plethora of boba stores in New York city and my idea is to create a website
that would sort through all these boba places and allow for people to find and discover new boba stores. I want to make the website
account for distance and rating in order to suggest a place to go to.
Due to a time constraint I think that the idea should change into my 3 of my favorite boba places in new york instead of a database/ review site for boba places around new york as
it would take more back-end coding.
New York city is vast and so there are chain boba stores and local bobal stores. The stores have similar flavors in drink but have their own niche that separate them from other boba places. There are many people that are invested in boba and so the reviews that are given could be part of the website design and allow for users to better choose which store they would like to go to. Depending on the place in New York City there could be more local boba shops that have more unique flavors. Some notable shops are Pa Tea now known as MooMooChaa, Wanpo, Lazy Sundaes, and Tiger Sugar. Their websites all have different design but generally are simple and show the popular flavors of boba. The design and layout are not as modernized as other professional websites but are meant to just give customers a place to order or find their shops.
I want to create a website that gives a more welcoming atmosphere when opening the website. The colors should be on the colorful side while creating a more calm and relaxing tone. Overall the website experience is made to imitate the exciting feeling you get when you get a drink of boba while giving a level of professionalism to it given the use case of the website being a boba location guide for nyc.
I want the website to be easily navigated. Since this is about boba locations and their variety of boba drinks the website should be more exciting in terms of of experience. There would be a variety of animations that create an overall elevation in mood. From the navbar to the website layout it should be cohesive and strung through flowing the different effects into the website.
The user experience should be more fun with an elevated level of professionalism. Each part of the website should be cohesive in terms of design and layout. The website should accurately express the mood and purpose of the website. Fonts and sizes should be clearly readable and express the fun nature of the overall experience of getting a boba.
