An interesting experiment would be adjusting each of the times by time zone every so slightly to see how much of an impact a couple minutes or even seconds would make. Looking at it in terms of transportation: the subway, stoplights, cars, trains, airplanes, boats, etc that all are going off a schedule would become so greatly impacted and fall apart just from a few second mistake building up.

For the times that humanity was solely relying on a pendulum to count time, I am curious as to how off that time truly was due to natural disasters and mistakes.
