Midterm Worksheet

Step 1- Develop Your Idea

Create a portfolio website to show all my recent and previous work all in one site.

Problems: How do I make the website show my personality? How does my art and the way it is placed reflects me?

Step 2- Discovery and Research

Since I'm interested in digital art, I decided to base my research on animators and digital painters.

On this website I really enjoyed how the navigation was setup. It was very organized and everything had it's space. Very simple home page, I might want to do something like this for mine.

I love the layout and how the homepage has a little bit of content from each one of her sections. It is very simple and easy navigate which is good because her style reflects youthful people.

I love the scrolling effect of the site while going through the gallery I enjoy this version of going through someone's work because it is better to take in art pieces one at a time instead of them all being thrown at you like Charlene's site.

Step 3- Target Audience

Family and Friends:The website would serve as a way for me to keep my family and friends what I'm doing and to show my previous work. Since they know me very well they will be attracted to the site by trying to see what I'm capable of.

Artists: I will target artists that are heavily within the illustration department, and that have a strong interest into character design, comics and animation.

Coporate Clients: This site will come to use for me because if I am reaching out to a corporate client I can always just send a link, and if they see the link before we exchange contact info I would also contact information on the page.
