Intent

This website created by Illustrator, Charlene Chua's website is vibrant and youthful. This website depicts a bright and interesting story while looking at the colorful Illustrations by Charlene Chua.
Tone
The homepage is filled with editorials and personal work that Charlene has done in the past. Very child friendly website filled with content that pleases the eyes, her homepage shows a bundle of her illustrations to show that this is her style and if you enjoyed it, you can keep going.
This part holds a comic, an advertisement and all illustrations. Very simple and straight to the point.
Just illustrations in the mediums of Ink and Watercolor most of the illustrations are of animals.
All editorials that are used for any educational purposes are in this page from illustrations of anatomy to animals.
Illustrations for children books, all of her children illustrations and her picture books.
Short and straight to the point bio that tells you where Charlene is from and what were her career paths to Illustration
Contact is just for sending emails and proving that you are human by clicking over the box that say I am human.
Brand
Chua's website is very consistent with her different galleries split between medium and content on the page. She has established a brand because her style is definitely not common so she is marketable to herself. Charlene's work is very youthful and easy on the eyes because of her subtle colors and style.
Corporate Client
Brandon is looking for someone to make the next Scholastic book when suddenly his son shows him Charlenes website because he was in love with her artwork. Brandon did what any father would do, and he hired Charlene to give his son a childrens book based off of him and illustrations by Charlene. But Brandon didn't just go with her because of his son he really enjoyed all of her animal pieces and thought they can make a pretty cute book about a fox.
Illustrator
Carl has been in the illustration business for a long time. Carl has a more of a cruel way of drawing, let's just say that he will never make a children's book. Once he goes on her website he doesn't see anything that resides with him until he starts clicking on different sections and now Carl can see himself in the ink and watercolor section picturing collabing with Charlene.
Student
Peter scrolls around looking for cool digital illustrators on google when all of a sudden he clicks on this link. The link was to the website that blonges to Charlene Chua and immediately 17 year old high school student Peter is reminiscing about the times he read books in elementary school and would get amazed by the beautiful illustrations.

Competition
Charlene's website is better than many of her competition because her website is quick and straight to the point but yet there is a lot to look at. Her layout is better and the navigation is easily understood making it easy for all ages to get on her website. But her website is lacking in a market to sell her own pieces, that is one place where she needs to improve but for an illustrator you have to be able to get someones attention and get to the point quickly and in that she succeeds.
