1. Develop Your Idea
For the final website where we have to create a website to sell something, I wanted to create a website that tells the viewers about different pizza stores in NYC. The pizza stores introduced in the website will be: Joe’s Pizza, 99 Cent Fresh Pizza, and Scarr’s Pizza.
There will be home page that consists of navigation to each of three stores. Then, websites for each store will contain its location, contact, images, and brief popular menu.
2. Discovery and Research
I asked ChatGPT for some suggestions for my website. The suggestions include:
- Header: website logo, Navigation menu with links to each pizzeria's page, and Brief introduction/welcome message
- Hero Section: Eye-catching images of delicious pizzas or the iconic NYC skyline, and a short description highlighting the uniqueness of NYC pizza
- About Section: Brief overview of the purpose of the website and what visitors can expect
- Featured Pizzerias: Highlight each pizzeria with a thumbnail image and a short blurb
- Call-To-Action: Encourage visitors to explore the individual pizzeria pages
- Footer: Contact information, Social media links
Then, suggestions for individual pizzerias pages include:
- Header: Back to home link and Pizzeria name and logo
- Location: Address with Google Maps integration and hours of operation
- Contact: phone number and email address
- Images: High-quality images of the pizzeria's interior, exterior, and signature dishes
- Reviews: Customer reviews or testimonials
- Links to social media

After asking ChatGPT, I looked at the website of Joe's Pizza. It only contained the image of the store, a navigation to ordering, and the history of the store. The website seems pretty simple and empty with lacking information.
3. Target Your Audience
- The target audience for my website would primarily consist of individuals who are interested in pizza and are always looking for new pizza places to try. Then, any tourists or local residents who want to explore local food or discover new pizzerias in different neighborhoods can check out the website. Furthermore, anyone who is looking for budget-friendly food options could visit the website as well.
4. Inspiration and Concepts
This is the moodboard I created for the website. I want my website to have vivid color scheme and simple elements, allowing easier appeal to the viewers.
