In Defense of the Poor Image
I think memes will be a good example of poor images. While using social media, the low-resolution memes are really
popular and funny. It would be widely spread on the internet. These kinds of memes are usually a part or a retouch
of high-resolution pictures. But when we’re using them, I’d never try to figure out what is the original picture
or its real meaning. All I care about is the fun of this poor, retouched version and what it brings to a conversation.
On the other hand, there are more and more remastered versions of old films and old photographs.
They used to be dusted and be left without anyone to take care of it. But with the higher resolutions,
it can be accepted and valued by the audience. Under this circumstance, isn’t it good to not be poor images?
