Scroll, Skim, Stare
I like the idea of creating an artist website as a self-made exhibition space. I should have connected the exhibition that I’ve seen to the making process of the website. Maybe this is my final defense of being dragged into a digital world and my mind keeps telling me to never mix the real world experience with the virtual one.
I feel when creating websites, I’m always restricted by the “templates” online and thinking the form of the website more like a place to display the work instead of creating or experimenting with the work. But some artists who have never worked web before, when they create their own sites, are not controlled by those “templates” and therefore have the freedom to play with their design and challenge everything.
