My name is Thais Reyes and as an artist my intentions are not only to create art for fun, but for interpersonal relationships within myself and the viewer. I am currently an Illustration major following my aspirations as an artist. Ever since I was two, art has been my facilitator in my thinking process and my language of expression. My illustrations all tend to have a story to tell or a symbolic meaning to relate to. As I grow more as an artist I want to improve and use my two-dimensional art background in a more inventive way. I’d like to create interactive art pieces for more profound conversations with the viewer. I want to prove that I, as a woman, can be as controversial as a man. That I can unmask the oblivion of our world and the materialism of my generation and future generations through colors, human behavior, designs, and dream interpretations. Art to me is a way of living and a way of learning.
