Intent
The main purpose of the website is to present artworks and attract its primary target audience who are interested in either buying or working with the artist. It also attracts people such as students who are looking for interesting and unique art styles to get inspiration from.
Voice
The overall voice of the website is very professional, straightforward, and purposeful. There is no extra decorating or text throughout the website that distracts the viewers. Instead, it presents itself in a very simple and direct way to its audience so the audience can easily understand the content.
Tone
Most of the pages that showcase works such as illustrations, prints, and puppets are similar in tone because they only have artwork and audiences can click on each work for more information. Whereas pages like Contact and About have more text than pictures to give viewers detailed information about the artist and how to contact them if interested.
Brand
The brand impression of the website is professional, upscale, and handcrafted.
Persona
Myself: illustration student looking for inspiration about unique illustration styles and websites to sell my work. I learned about Red Nose Studio through a teacher telling me I would like their 3D works. I immediately loved the wood-like texture in the illustrations and how all of their work is very consistent despite using very different materials. The purposefully designed logo on the website also depend on my recognition of the studio.
3 Personas
Newspaper: looking for an interesting art style to be on the front page of the newspaper to catch the audience's attention.
Collectors: looking to collect unique and strong-styled art pieces and sculptures.
Small Shops: looking to find unique pieces to decorate their store in order to attract people.
Competition
This website doesn’t have a very distinctive web design, but I think that by putting the artwork on the home page, the art speaks for itself. Therefore, I don’t think there’s anything special I can learn from this competition
