Develop your ideas
For my final I would like to create a website selling plants and planting seeds. The goal for such a website is to not only provide varieties of aesthetic plants but also showcasing the ones that can be ecologically beneficial. If time permits, garden supplies can be added for a fuller effective website composition.
Discovery and Research
After visiting websites of various garden centers, plant nurseries and home improvement stores such as Home Depot there are focuses on showing single images with brief visual descriptions. Overall each varies in layout of the navigation menu and placement of pictures. All seem to lack in focus on what benefits it can provide in gardens (i.e if this plant can attract more birds/bees or not). There are multiple categories available based on plant types (such as perennials, roses, trees, etc.). For the sake of this website it is to be narrowed down to a few categories to focus on: Berries, Flowers, Grasses and Shrubs.
