Section 1: Personal Stories from Climate Survivors and Activists
1.The Youth Climate Lawsuit: Juliana v. United States

In 2015, 21 young activists filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, arguing that its promotion of a fossil fuel-based economy violated their constitutional right to a secure climate. Over the years, these plaintiffs transitioned from teenagers to young adults, symbolizing a generation's enduring fight for environmental justice. Although the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear their petition in 2025, effectively ending the case, the movement inspired youth-led climate activism globally.
