Hojicha

Hojicha is a Japanese roasted green tea with a warm, nutty, and toasty flavor, a reddish-brown color. Often made from bancha (later-harvested tea leaves) or kukicha (stems and twigs). Served hot or iced, and its rich, earthy flavor makes it popular for tea lattes. It is commonly found in powder form.

Flavor Profile: Toasted, nutty, caramel-like, with hints of smokiness and a natural sweetness.

Lower cafteine than other green teas due to the roasting process, making it less stimulating. It promotes relaxation, aids in digestion, and boosts immune health. May help prevent cavities and combat bad breath. Hojicha is rich in pyrazine, a component that helps improve blood circulation and provides a naturally calming, warming effect.
