Our Mission Statement

""

Harlem Votes is a community group that aims to pull together the knits of the neighborhood of Harlem, using politics as a catalyst. We strive to educate Harlemites on local politics and policy, profile Harlem’s passionate neighbors and build an action plan for those feeling lost in the chaos of the political landscape. It’s a one-stop-shop for anything related to politics and policy, and, therefore, anything Harlem.

Our Target Audience

Anyone who cares about Harlem, period. This is a communal space for shared information about how policy impacts the daily lives of individuals. You can be somebody who knows a friend of a friend who lives in Harlem, or a politician yourself running for office. Who ever you are, we need you.

Involvement can look like talking to a friend or coworker about a local election, or it can look like knocking on doors on Saturday mornings. Whatever involvement looks like to you—we need that and it matters.

Help us address the gap between Harlem voters and the impacts of their local and nationwide elections.
