Design Process & Strategy
Slow Trip started from a simple observation: today, many people travel too quickly. They move from one place to another, trying to see everything, but rarely stop to truly experience where they are.
Travel often becomes a checklist instead of a meaningful experience. People take photos and leave immediately, without noticing the environment or atmosphere.
This project explores a slower and more intentional way of traveling. Instead of focusing on efficiency, it encourages users to pause, observe, and connect with their surroundings.
I researched travel and editorial websites that create calm and immersive experiences. I focused on how layout, imagery, and spacing can influence how fast or slow users move through a page.
Where To Go In
https://wheretogoin.net/
This website presents travel destinations in a curated and minimal way. It highlights only a few places at a time and gives each one space, which slows down browsing.
Takeaway: Reducing visual clutter can create a calmer and more intentional experience.
La Gatta Experiences

This site focuses on mood and atmosphere. Large imagery and soft layouts encourage slow scrolling instead of quick scanning.
Takeaway: Visual tone and spacing can shape emotional experience and pacing.
The target audience includes young creatives and students who feel overwhelmed by fast-paced digital environments.
They prefer meaningful experiences and want to enjoy places more deeply instead of rushing.
The concept is a quiet digital travel journal. The design focuses on atmosphere instead of information.
Soft tones, warm colors, and open spacing create a slower browsing rhythm.
This stage explores layout and navigation. The goal was to create a structure that feels natural and not rushed.
The final design combines research and sketches into a calm and minimal interface.
Both desktop and mobile versions were created to maintain a consistent slow and intentional experience.
This project showed me how design can influence behavior by slowing down interaction.
One challenge was balancing simplicity with clarity while communicating the idea.
In the future, I want to add subtle interactions to enhance the experience.
