Immersion Candles Website
The Immersion Candle Company was created as a part of a “design for accessibility” assignment. The concept is that someone who is visually impaired will burn a candle along to a movie, tv show, or audio book and become more fully immersed in the experience. The candles work with the concept of designing for one and extending to many, as the product could be sold to anyone, not only those with disabilities.
Current iterations of the Immersion Candle only include the candle. I am planning to develop a prototype for a candle holder for the immersion candle that can be reused with multiple candles, and will function as a stand to prevent the candle from being knocked over and starting a fire.
An essential part of my web design will be designing for accessibility, as I am selling candles for the visually impaired on the internet, which creates barriers to accessibility. I will need to include strong contrast, and will consider how I could implement audio to make the website more accessible. The design of the website should also evoke the warmth

Boy Smells
Boy Smells is a popular and trendy candle brand that collaborates with artists and creates unique scents like “Italian Kush”. They collaborated with Kacey Musgraves on a candle called “Slow Burn”, which is meant to evoke the feelings of her song by the same name.
