Portfolio Site Worksheet

Develop Your Idea

Initially, I wanted to use a strong visual theme to showcase my fashion design portfolio and highlight my personal style. However, I felt that the style of the previous website was a bit too overwhelming, distracting users when viewing other styles of my work. This time, I want to try a simpler layout that allows users to not only feel my aesthetic as soon as they enter the site but also appreciate my work without distractions.

Discovery and Research

Essentially, I would want to create a website that both is unique and is more illustrative but also organized and simple to navigate around. I would lean towards a more simplistic layout with minimal elements just so it can be easily translated to the viewer.

Geogina Hopkin: I really like Georgina Hopkin's homepage animation, where elements move irregularly along with the flow of water. Moreover, the interface is very clean, allowing users to easily understand their preferences and style.

Rane Jiang: The layout is very clean and effectively showcases the creator's work. It makes me feel that perhaps a simple layout can better highlight the uniqueness of the work, allowing users to fully appreciate it without being distracted by other visual elements.
