Voice: What is the voice of the website?
The voice of the site is very exciting. The site is made to look very hip and interesting and make you impressed by the accomplishments of Jade. The site was made to give off a very stylish, alternative idea of what a portfolio is supposed to look like.
Tone
The tone of each page seems very aesthetically different and while under the same brand of individual each page has its own unique flair.
The About Me Page
This page is very eye capturing. It’s very graphic heavy and not text heavy. Being the first page on the site it is meant to draw people in and also impress people with the credentials she has.
The Store Page:
This page is very undeveloped. It is several images of Jade herself and is made to in the future house information about her NFT’s this page barely has any text and the tone of it is very cool and nonchalant.
The Works
This page is meant to sell sell sell. This shows Jade’s proudest projects she’s worked on and its meant to be incredibly informative. It also has hypertext that links you to all of her courses that she sells and the pricing information. This page is very text heavy accompanying pictures that help push the point.
Coaching
This page is meant to tell the story of Jade. The page has no text and just shows a video of jade explaining how shes made it to the point she has.
Courses
This page is accompanied by pictures and text explaining what kind of courses she offers. She uses very friendly and not business heavy lingo to explain what the objective of each course is. There is also a hyperlink that connects you to either course.
Brand
How does the website establish its brand? Is it consistent? Is it upscale, casual, youthful, objective? This site establishes itself as youthful, quirky, interesting, different and exciting. It is not super consistent in its branding each page is very different from the first but they all have a similar mood about them that you can tell is all from the same person.
The colors used in her site are meant to establish a feeling of warmth or casual business while the graphics added into the site are meant to give a very interesting feel and be attention grabbing. The way the whole site is part of one huge layout and not spread across multiple pages is because there is not that much content to cover and the content and text is so concise it can all be used together. This enhances the idea that the website is a very youthful and innovative website meant to grab the attention of Gen-Z and Gen-Z companies.
However the graphics do to some extent take away from any professionalism in the website. This could be a turn off to bigger companies who want her opinion or on the flip side maybe they see her site as everything their target audience (gen z) wants. But the graphics do somewhat overwhelm the user and makes the site look in general less business like.
Persona
Jade doesn’t just have a site and companies and courses she sells or runs. She also has a youtube channel where everything started. Most of her fans are about her age anywhere between 16-24. They all have an interest in social media and her strategy specifically and how it aids in growth and expansion. Another factor is that she is a young entrepreneur which motivates or fascinates many people. These same people will click her website link in her bio to learn more about how is she making it, what are her next plans, what next event is she going to be at.
The second persona would be the business. Jade works with businesses who want to expand their growth or to help market themselves to a certain audience. So they are going to her website to schedule a coaching session or to take one of her courses so they can see what kind of services she offers and what her prices are.
Create 3 Personas
Personas are composite sketches that reflect real-world behaviors, attributes, and attitudes. Create a character sketch for at least three personas.
Persona 1
Kate Blancard
Age 24
Kate is a growing influencer on tiktok she is gaining thousands of followers each week but she doesn’t have an idea for her target audience or how she can monetize her growth. She wants to start a fashion line but doesn’t know if her followers will buy or not. While scrolling through youtube one day she comes across Jade’s video on how she helped an influencer build their clothing brand from scratch. She watched the video and immediately clicked on the website to book her own personal 1-1 call with Jade to discuss her business idea.
Persona 2:
XW Music
Name: Patrick Zegler
Age: 32
XW Music is a management agency for rising new artists in the industry. The groups main manager is Patrick Zegler he is 32 and feels somewhat out of touch with their younger clients. As a label they specifically target young and upcoming artists for their label. Patrick specifically is struggling to find many new artists on social media and wants help to establish themselves as a fun, easy to talk to, relatable company to draw in younger audience members. They see Jade on instagram and click to her bio. They find that she hosts a course where she teaches about finding your target audience. So they sign up because they want a younger person to teach them more about how to connect with younger audience members.
Persona 3
Name: Sorsha Alcas
Age: 19
Sorsha is a social media specialist and has her own website up where she sells her services. Much like Jade she has her own courses, and projects featured on her website. Jade is very inspirational to Sorsha. In fact she’s the reason Sorsha got into social media managing. Sorsha goes to Jade’s website for updates on any new services on the site so she knows what is trending in the social industry and if she should add these elements to her own site. The display of the site is a little confusing and too hard for her to recreate at this moment. But the site hosts lots of valuable information Sorsha can use to advance her course descriptions or to inspire her to change features of her website.

Copy Deck
In developing a website for a client, the content is often done by different people and the designer requires that all the copy for the website be assembled into a copy deck. Copy the content of the first page, break it down and label it as if it were part of a copy deck. Take a look at the SAMOCA copy deck example for guidance.

Competition
How does this website stack up against the competition? What does it have that competitor websites do not, in terms of voice, tone, brand, style, design and so on? Can anything be learned from the competition? I think Jades number one advantage to her competition is that she is younger and has a more well versed idea of what gen z wants and you can tell that by the graphic design of her website. Her competitors that are in her same field have more minimalistic designs, more information and push more so for their courses rather than pushing heavy graphics and minimal text. I think one thing to be learned by the competitors is that your website is to sell yourself and your products and I don’t think Jade’s site does a good job of it. I think the website is very stylish very savvy, very relatable and heavily influenced by the younger generation but it doesn’t truly do her justice in selling herself.
