STATEMENT:

I have always loved denim when it comes to fabric, so I used a lot of that in my first look. It is entirely composed of all the elements I personally love: exaggerated shoulders, long and thin sleeves, long proportions, multifunctionality etc.. The top is quite a boxy jacket white the bottom is more inspired by the mermaid skirt look. The shoulder part was so structural that I had to use both the shoulder pads and cork to support the shape. Both sleeves were composed of two kinds of denim, and one fabric with special treatments on it. I got very into tucks while sewing them, and so I kept developing this element into my skirt. The curves in the female body meant power and beauty to me, so I incorporated it with the base pattern of a mermaid skirt. However, I added three long zippers to give it a different intensity of tightness. Those as well as the fabric choice of solely denim make the look much younger and free.
