Mother of Pearl Locket
A locket designed to hold a small memory — a pressed flower, a note, a curl.
I created this brand for my Capstone project, because I wanted to promote meaningful jewelry design. Rouva promotes intergenerational connection through hosting jewelry design workshops. Each piece is crafted with a story in mind, a small object that carries a family forward.
Rouva Studios; a jewelry studio that designs heritage inspired jewelry and hosts guided jewelry workshops. These workshops are designed to prompt connection through a card game. Come in alone and reflect on your background and lineage, come in with a friend and learn about each other’s backgrounds or come in with your family and connect in an intentional way. They are then taught the method of lost wax carving and tips to design jewelry, as well as given the time to design a piece for someone from their family. Using the skills and knowledge from this workshop, participants then spend some time carving their jewelry piece, for the studio to get casted. 2-4 weeks, they are sent their complete jewelry piece, as well as a form to submit (qr code) on how accurately their partner was able to create a piece of jewelry that reflects them.

Rouva started from a simple idea: to make heritage jewellery more wearable. Each collection traces a motif or memory you can pass forward. We make in small batches and welcome personalizations.
We believe that objects carry stories. Our workshops are intentionally short, hands-on, and warm. They are designed to create a memory you can wear, and a ritual you can share.
