Arduino joins Qualcomm

Arduino has officially been acquired by Qualcomm Technologies. This is a big moment for the Arduino community — it means Arduino now has access to Qualcomm's world-class chips, AI technology, and global resources.

The first product of this partnership is the Arduino UNO Q, which uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 processor.

What stays the same

• Arduino remains open-source
• CAD files for the UNO Q are already published publicly
• You can still use the Arduino IDE and write normal sketches
• The community stays the same — makers, educators, and engineers

What is new

• Much more powerful hardware with AI acceleration
• Full Linux operating system on the board
• Qualcomm's global scale behind Arduino products
• New Arduino App Lab for combining Python, AI, and Arduino sketches
