Develop Your Idea
My goal for the final project is to improve my midterm portfolio to make is more professional and compelling. It’s portfolio website that clearly introduces myself, my experience, and my work mainly in UX/UI, Strategic design, and branding. For the final, I want to integrate more interactive elements from what we learned in the second term. I think making an interesting and interactive portfolio website is important to keep audience engaged. Showing personality makes a portfolio web stands out.
Discovery and Research
I searched for inspirations on portfolios and web designs that are fun, interactive, and engaging. Most of them are portfolio websites for designers, artists, and studios. They are all making interaction with their target audience in different ways.
House of Gul
House of Gul is a creative studio. The website creates a unique, creative, and colorful vibe. It builds its main page in a digital metaverse style. It is interactive in the first page; when you move your mouse, it creates painting. It also displays its art work in a motion way. I also really like the 3D models that are used in the websites.
Rezo Zero
Rezo Zero is a creative agency that builds powerful digital solutions. The portfolio is clean and well organized. However, the layout feels like a digital magazine — it’s full of beautiful images and nicely selected typefaces. It’s pleasant to look at. I also love some of the motion graphs, which makes the website more engaging.
Femme Fatale
Femme Fatale is a creative studio focused on creating works of art. The team describes itself as being “somewhere between sophistication and simplicity,” and its portfolio excellently reflects this tone: bold imagery, black color schemes, and crisp typefaces create a sophisticated look.
Target Audience
My target audience for the website are potential employers looking to get a more in-depth idea of my work and my major focus and fellow designers who are interested in seeing my work. I wan to create an interactive and engaging experience with my users. I want to tell a story of who I am through my website through texts and visuals.
