ANABELLA ORELLANA

Hello! My name is Anabella Orellana. I am New York City-born first-generation college student. The beginning of my artistic journey revealed itself in 2016. As of today, I’m working to pursue a career in Product and Communications Design. Presently, I’m an undergraduate student at Parsons School of Design.

Prior to university, I was a student at the High School of Art and Design with a focus in illustration. High School introduced me to Adobe platforms and elevated my skill-set in 2D art-making. My love for mixed media only grew as I started to discover my style.

I strived to make pieces realistic with strong narrative connotations. Everything was to be measured accurately and withhold purpose. These elements became an important part in everything I created. And they continue to be a signature aspect to my digital, product, and 3D design work.

Currently, I am employed by Equity for Chilren through The New School Federal Work Study. I take on the position of Communications Assistant and I was recently named the Translation Manager as well.

My social media expertise and Spanish fluency cater to keeping the administration organized and being of assistance when necessary. In addition, this job has also allowed me to embrace my growing design skills.

As a sophomore attending The New School, I’ve become more proficient in design. Through mastering Adobe, creating on 3D platforms, and experiencing hands-on training in various shops, I continue to challenge myself.

My dedication to creating and learning new ways to create would be an excellent asset to a range of businesses. Most importantly, I offer my devoted passion in the arts and design.
