My response is a chair that not only uses the elements that makes a chair comfortable, but also explores both sets of visuals people commonly and uncommonly associate with a chair. This is an abstracted chair that functions in more than one orientation and is a representation of what I believe is comfortable. The chair itself is built from White Pine and Cedar because they’re lightweight, easily accessible, strong, and have a great natural color tone to them. It’s important that the materials are lightweight since it wouldn’t make moving the chair difficult.
