1. **User-Centered Design (UCD):** The emphasis on user-centric design was growing stronger. Design technologists were prioritizing understanding user needs, conducting user research, and creating intuitive and enjoyable user experiences.
2. **Responsive and Mobile-First Design:** With the increasing use of mobile devices, designing for responsiveness and mobile-first approaches were standard practices. Designers focused on ensuring that websites and applications were user-friendly on small screens.
As a design technology student, here is some valuable advice to help you succeed in your academic journey and prepare for a rewarding career:
