Return of the Fatty
This is a collaboration class with MTV channel to create a Flash casual game. Probably the best teamwork experience I had in Parsons. Well, be in a school with a lot of self-conscious designers (it is more of an attitude than real skill), it is hard to get teamwork going… For a more completed (images and sounds) documentation please go to our Project Manager Priyanka Batra (A.K.A Numba Zero)’s page!

overview
Return of the Fatty is a single-player arcarde style game which uses a basic mouse-click mechanic to allow the user to guide three fatties to a palace of tasties and treats. The game is targetted at females aged 13-35 and intended for the VH1 or MTV networks.
goal
guide the fatties safely to sugary sweet wonderland!
core mechanic
Basic mouse clicking is required to accomplish the multitasking necesary to successfully complete the levels and continue playing the game.
dynamic
Create paths for the fatties to walk on while avoiding traps and enemies, but also, keeping the fatties’ stamina up by guiding them to eat ice cream along the way.
aesthetic
the word around town is that there’s a mystical place in a far off land –past the city, past the forest, past the industrial wasteland– a place where the sweets are abundant, the chocolate flows like water, frosting rains from the sky, and taffy grows on trees. All you have to do to get there is follow a trail of ice creams through the city, the forest, and the industrial wasteland… little fat men from all walks of life are very excited about this and are on their way to this land of neverending tasty treats. you must guide the fatties and keep them clear of traps, and poison, and things that will eat them…
