Book as Algorithm:
ForYou

This research-based project was meant to teach about the dangers of increasing algorithmization on social media. To do this, I built an algorithm into the structure of a book that allowed for the user to play it like a game. While appearing like the user has autonomy over their course, the book brings them through specific routes with writings from authors, conversations I had with an artifical intelligence robot and, of course, advertisements!

Over 200 pages long, this project shows my ability to think both anayltically (in terms of math, function, and logic) and creatively through my design and message. Utilizing the neutral design language of tech-minimalism, the system of navigation I built sought to provide comfort and familiarity that veiled the forces underneath.
